HOW I FELT:

Although I’m more of a casual gamer I still got this sketch. It was amusing to me. The intro did a great job at being super visually stimulating which, for me, was a bit much but it did what it intended to do. The cup of tea was eloquent but in the end not for me.

WHAT WORKS FOR ME:

The contrast between this gamer trying to stream, show off, and create something worth watching with how poorly he could play the game. Also loved the irony of his bragging at the beginning with “I heard it's a little easy though.” Adding in the trash talking with other players, and yelling at his mom paints the parody of the world. At the top of the sketch he says I’m going to “play warzone”, but he actually plays call of duty free-for-all. Which can also be part of the joke.

GAME BEATS:

1. He gets killed as soon as he opens the game

2. He gets sniped from the spawn points

3. He continues to get killed even on high ground

Turn: His call of duty “crashed” and he now thinks the game is dumb.

ENDING:

He fails at super Mario in the first 5 seconds

PITCHES:

A live streaming Twitch chat on the side could have provided even more written word visual jokes/ Easter eggs.

Themes:

Video Games, Live Streaming, bragging, creatives not providing much value, influencers thinking they’re better than they are, first time trying something out.
